One of the things I like about writing is that it monopolizes my attention. I mean, I don't feel the need to be "doing something else" as I seem to with almost every other activity. (Even when I'm sleeping, it's great if I'm also doing laundry or charging a phone.) Sigh.
But in writing, I don't stray; it's like a complete activity. Same with playing the piano, I guess.
