"Desitny is another word for not having a choice," - a quote that sounds profound (in the flippant way that we self-righteous tend to adopt) but that I totally disagree with. Actually, I think I just want to call it bogus and bunk; I'm not sure I could actually disagree with it.
First off, destiny is such a loaded word that its denotations are completely gone so I'm not even sure what I'm dealing with for true.
Secondly, no. The line was delivered by a semi-stubborn teenager stereotype (being extreme in this moment) so I think it was more of a snappy come back than anything, said in the same way one might say, "Your face is destiny," or, "Your mom is destiny."
