What can we say about the fact that the people I interact with most frequently do not and probably will never read my blog? I wonder about this. I want to analyze and theorize...but it's big.
One of my friends used the word 'nigger' today and since she's white, it made me really happy. I'm not sure I've ever heard a white person use that word without meaning it in a negative way. Ahh. I felt very liberated.
A moment later, after I re-listened to the story in my head, it was dang ol sad ... Sad enough that it didn't make me angry. I'm thankful for moments like these.
